Tompolo Firm Exposes Rampant Illegal Refining of Diesel in Nigeria’s Filling Stations

Written by gcsjjustified

According to Tompolo's Tantita Security Services surveillance firm, an astonishing 90% of diesel sold at filling stations across Nigeria is illegally refined. The firm alleges that major oil companies secretly patronize these illegal refineries, which are rampant in the Niger Delta region. The Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPCL) has discovered 122 illegal refineries in the past week alone, along with 65 illegal pipeline connections in Rivers and other states. This illicit trade not only deprives the government of revenue but also poses serious environmental and health hazards. Authorities are working to crack down on these illegal operations and restore legitimate fuel supply chains.
