Nigeria’s challenges are surmountable – Emir Sanusi

Written by gcsjjustified

The Defence Headquarters (DHQ) has provided reasons for establishing the Nigerian Army School of Islamic Affairs. Maj. Gen. Edward Buba, the Director of Defence Media Operations, stated that the military has a Chaplain School for both Christian and Islamic religions, as being a military personnel does not make one an atheist. He explained that the purpose of the School of Islamic Affairs is to develop and build the capacity of those who will preach to the troops, enabling them to communicate the scriptures effectively to boost the faith of the military personnel. The DHQ emphasized that the school is for religious purposes only, just like the Christian Chaplaincy School, and is not aimed at recruiting new members or reducing support for the troops and security agencies.
