Labour Party in confusion ahead of Edo guber poll

Written by gcsjjustified

The Labour Party (LP) in Edo State is facing a factional crisis between its members and loyalists of the Obidient movement, which is hampering its preparations for the upcoming gubernatorial election.

A chieftain of the LP Diaspora in the UK, Prince Egbe Omorodion, has called on the people of Edo State to support the party's candidate, Olumide Akpata, who he believes is better equipped for the governorship. However, a group called SYEG has insisted on Akpata's removal, further exacerbating the disarray within the party.
