Court Blocks Governor’s Attempt to Dismiss Traditional Rulers in Sokoto

The Sokoto State High Court has issued an order restraining Governor Ahmed Aliyu from sacking traditional rulers in the state. The court has specifically barred the governor from removing two district heads and has ordered that all actions be stayed, particularly those involving the Kebbe and Tambuwal local government areas, pending the hearing and determination of the matter.
