Tiwa Savage Early Life Before The Fame
Tiwatope Balogun popularly known by her professional name ‘Tiwa Savage’ is a Nigerian singer, songwriter and actress born on the 5th of April, 1980 in Isale Eko in Ikeja, Lagos State. Her family relocated to London when she was 11 years old. Her passion for music started at a very young age, while in high school she was a trombone player in her school’s orchestra band.
She got married to Tee Billz on the 23rd of November, 2013 and gave birth to her first child in 2015. But later in 2016 she got separated from her husband due to cases of infidelity, drug addiction and abandonment.

Even though she didn’t pick up music after graduating from the University, she never stopped dreaming of becoming a superstar someday. She engaged herself in musical activities even though she began working at The Royal Bank of Scotland, she performed with artists like Mary J. Driven by passion, she enrolled at Berklee College of Music and graduated with a degree in professional music at the age of 27.

In July 2019, Savage was featured on ‘keys to the kingdom’, a track she co-wrote for Beyonce’s Lion King album.
In 2019 UniversalMusic Group announced the signing of Savage to a seven year publishing and distribution deal. It was later revealed that she left Mavin Records.
