A prominent member of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Kano State, Senator Masaud Doguwa, has defected to the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP). Doguwa, who was a strong APC chieftain, cited the “anti-people policies” of the Bola Tinubu administration as the reason for his defection. 
This high-profile defection is seen as a blow to the APC’s political standing in Kano and reflects growing discontent with the current government’s policies among some party members.
